Overall Focus: To demonstrate the unique aspects of the wines from key wine growing regions in Chile and to celebrate the innovations and commitment to quality by Chilean winemakers. 30 Winery Booths Manned by agents and visiting winemakers and winery staff; maximum 10 wines per winery. Education Stations:
Four unique stations that provide generic Wines of Chile information and support learning, hosted by sommeliers and key media. 1. Totally Cool Syrah – Syrah from Casablanca, Leyda and San Antonio.
2. Carmenère—A Chilean Grape Discovery – Where does it thrive and what separates a great Carmenère from the rest. 3. Terroir—Passion for Place – Using Sauvignon Blanc as the benchmark, feature vineyard/regional designated wines to demonstrate the unique differences of each winegrowing region. 4. Icon Wines – A selection of the top award-winning wines in $30 range to demonstrate the outstanding quality of Chilean wines and the value for dollar. Evening Event: Art, artifacts, music, dancers and food that reflect Chilean culture.
Silent Auction: Chilean wines, restaurant gift certificates, artwork, fantastic auction items supporting the BC Hospitality Foundation.
